The Low Door

The Low Door, working in partnership with St Columba Hotel, we take pride in offering superb quality foods, books and unique gifts for food lovers.
Our own Low Door products are made in small batches by hand and with care, many of them using organic seasonal produce straight from the St Columba Hotel garden. We take the best of our harvest and transform them into delicious jams & jellies, chutneys, relishes and condiments. In the late summer we harvest honey from our own hives. No process or treatments; just pure raw Iona honey. Simply delicious and very very special. You are welcome to take a walk around the garden and see the abundance of fruits, flowers, herbs and vegetables used in our recipes. Take in the aromas from the hotel kitchen as you pass by. Perhaps you have already enjoyed a taste of our jam or chutney on your plate in the hotel restaurant? Now, in The Low Door you can purchase a unique taste of Iona to take home.
Alongside the Low Door range, you will also find a tempting selection of artisan and gourmet food and drinks from innovative small producers in Scotland and further afield who share our passion for superb quality of food, ethically sourced. From cheeses, charcuterie and fish to confectionary, snacks and groceries, we hope you will find something to enjoy at home, for a special occasion, a picnic, or a gift. We don't stock anything with nasty additives or artificial ingredients. We do however stock an exciting range of foods and treats that are gluten & dairy free and scrumptious too!
Our passion for food isn't just about eating! We are always on the lookout for unique hand crafted products for your kitchen or table. Our gift lines in ceramic, slate and wood are stylish and contemporary. Most are crafted in Scotland and all can be matched with a food selection to make a perfect gift or souvenir.
