Iona Abbey Library Project

The Iona Abbey Library is located in Iona Abbey, above the Chapter House in the Cloisters. Due to it’s current location within the guest accommodation of the Iona Community, the library is not open to the public. The library houses many books of great historical interest and significance, including numerous copies of the Book of Kells and a robust Gaelic section, as well as many books pertaining to the heritage of the island.
