THE JAM JAR BRISTOL
'The Jam Jar is an organisation supporting and encouraging independent creatives to network and create together. Providing an essential platform to practice, perform and collaborate.'
THE JAM JAR
Where and what are we?
The Jam Jar is based in The Old Malt House, a historical building in Bristol's city centre, recently transformed into a creative space.
We offer many services and platforms, including: a music studio, art studio, open desk spaces, a large creative space which can be used as a performance area (high ceilings/with a stage) to a wide range of clients. All of this is accompanied by toilet and kitchen facilities, making The Old Malt House a multi faceted community and creative space.
We do not discriminate based on experience, anyone is welcome to work in our space.
The Jam Jar is host to a unique hub of creative activity, complimenting and helping to encourage Bristol's thriving network of creatives. We aim to support, inspire and encourage growth, independently and as a collective.
JAM JAR EVENTS
As of 2014 we have encouraged other organisers to use the space for their own purposes, from cinema and workshops to music events. While our events are no longer in house we still support and encourage organisers who curate events that are not financially viable.
One of our primary objectives is to showcase the UK's finest undiscovered acts, facilitating the growth and prosperity of a flourishing creative scene - So don't miss out!
FUTURE AMBITIONS
To further encourage and support the growth of local creative industries and grassroots organisations.
To take the JamJar to the independent festival industry through collaboration with innovative creative and interactive organisations.
