The farm is traditional sheep and beef farm of over 200 acres. It is part of a Countryside Stewardship Scheme ran by Natural England and the farming is carried out with consideration for wildlife. With over 3200 trees have been planted since 2006, the creation of over 1000m of new hedgerows and includes 43 acres of Culm grassland habitat which is nationally important for wildlife such as, barn owls, bats, lapwings, snipe, skylark and many other farmland birds.
