Berwick Beer Festival

The Berwick Beer Festival aims to offer a community festival to promote the beers, real ales, ciders and lagers made in the local area and further afield.

Berwick-upon-Tweed is home to Simpsons Malt (our key sponsor) who provide malt to breweries internationally, and perhaps most famously to Timothy Taylors - who will be making an appearance at this years festival.

The town is also home to the beers and ales of Bear Claw brewery, made on the seaside in Spittal. Tempest Brew Co is based only 20 miles away in the borders town of Kelso, making a huge mark on the Real Ale scene with their distinct flavour. At the Bellhaven Fruit Farm there is Thistly Cross Cider- one of the fastest growing intendant cider makers in the country.

Further afield is Williams Brothers Lager, The Scottish Borders Brewery, Fyne Ales, and many more in Newcastle and Edinburgh who will all be appearing at the Beer Festival.

There are breweries coming from as far away as Dorset and Orkney, so as well as celebrating the produce made locally we'll be celebrating the breweries the length and breadth of the UK.
