Yorwaste Limited

Yorwaste Limited provides waste management and recycling solutions for a range of customers, including businesses, local authorities and the general public.

We operates sites across Yorkshire, including resource recover centres, waste transfer stations, materials recycling facilities, composting facilities, liquid waste treatment plant and household waste recycling centres.

Yorwaste is owned by North Yorkshire County Council and City of York Council but run wholly independently by a Board of Directors.

We also have an environmental arm, Yorventure,which provides funding – generated through Landfill Tax Credits, for local community projects close to our landfill sites.

Yorwaste has a sister company, SJB Recycling Ltd, which is one the UK's largest independent providers of green waste composting solutions.
