Yorkshire Photo Walks

Yorkshire Photo Walks offer expert, affordable photography tuition on walks through the inspirational Yorkshire locations. Whether you are a novice, an expert or anything in between, you will find a walk to suit you. We release seasonal schedules of Photo Walks to help you to maximise your photographic potential all year round.

Our expert tutor is Tom Marsh. He has an MA in Photographic Studies from the University of Westminster and has exhibited his work here in the north and in London. He has been teaching photography for a number of years and he is renowned for his ability to enthuse clients with an engaging and philosophical viewpoint on photography. He is extremely approachable and will answer any question asked of him with equal integrity, even if it is ‘how do I switch this thing on?’

Yorkshire Photo Walk’s unique selling point is that we go one step further than simply teaching you how to use your camera and compose a decent photograph. Tom encourages clients to ‘think photographically’, harnessing the power of the medium. He teaches you how to see the world through the eyes of a professional photographer. Tom states, “I don’t teach people how to take nice photographs, I teach them how to take beautiful, thought provoking and compelling photographs.”

Our extremely affordable Photo Walks take place most weekends and some weekday evenings throughout the year. Walks last two hours on average and vary in length.

As well as our inspirational Photo Walks, we stage seasonal and annual photographic competitions, weekend excursions to other inspirational locations outside God’s own county, 1to1 tuition and corporate tuition packages aimed at hotels, tourist attractions and other events.
