Yoga In Plymouth

Ruth encountered yoga many times in her life before it started to take root about 18 years ago. She dreamed about teaching yoga, in spite of a debilitating lack of self-confidence or self-awareness. This seemingly far-fetched idea prompted her to investigate yoga teacher training schools without any idea of the changes and transformations that yoga would promote in her life. She embarked on a B.W.Y. teaching diploma whilst she was still working as a psychiatric nurse and feeling uncomfortable about the constrained environment of mainstream medicine in England. A healing process took place both physically and mentally within herself because of the holistic philosophies of the Indian spiritual practice of Hatha Yoga, and after qualifying in March 2010 Ruth has been sharing what she has learnt, and continues to learn, by teaching yoga asana as her sole career.
She teaches Yoga asana (postures) with a strong link to the rhythm of the breath. Ruth's lessons take place privately, in further education colleges, at local leisure centres, rehabilitation facilities and also to corporations.
