More about Wolseley Bridge, a Wyevale Garden Centre

In a picturesque riverside setting, Wolseley Bridge Garden Centre was originally part of Sir Charles Wolseley's country estate. It began life in 1989 to fund the neighbouring garden park - now the Staffordshire Wildlife Trust - built by Sir Charles for 'public enjoyment'; the steel spade he used to plant a Nordmann Fir in commemoration of the opening was later used by Professor David Bellamy to plant a Mountain Ash in the grounds and still takes pride of place in the centre!

A far cry from traditional garden centre architecture, the main building has a dramatic pyramid design complemented by an immaculate plantarea. So well known is it for excellent growing stock that Charlie Dimmock bought the plants for a local garden makeover here, an accolade that speaks volumes for the quality. Commenting on the friendly service, she reinforced the widely held opinion that the team of horticultural enthusiasts at Wolseley Bridge is second to none!

With a wide array of gardening products on offer, an inspiring giftware department, a popular conservatory restaurant serving delicious home-cooked food and a calendar of great gardening events throughout the year, a visit to Wolseley Bridge Garden Centre is a delight for all the family.
