Munchkins Forest School

Wivenhoe Forest School provides an exciting opportunity to explore a different kind of play. Perhaps something parents don’t always have time for, but we all know that children benefit greatly from being outside in all weathers and we absolutely love it.

We are fortunate to have an amazing woodland directly on our doorstep, in fact, two minutes run across the field straight to our site. We are also fortunate to have the support of Wivenhoe Town Council who manage this woodland and have given us permission to set up camp. Not only that we also have a camp in back garden!

We have a fully trained and qualified Forest School Leader who leads sessions within our nursery, along with separate Forest school for pre schoolers who do not attend the nursery and a holiday club for school age children.


All staff working with our Forest School are employees of Munchkins Nurseries and therefore all aspects of our service delivery is governed by our Nursery policies and procedures for health and safety, safeguarding and suitable people checks working with children. This also means that our fantastic team will be working with your children at all times bringing in our knowledge and experience of early years into the outdoor environment, along with providing exciting and fun filled activities during the holidays.
