Welcome to Winnall Rock School

Winnall Rock School improves the quality of lives of young people and their families in Winchester by providing free music tuition and band workshops for young people who would not otherwise have access to such opportunities or who need additional support.
In a lively, enthusiastic and supportive atmosphere, we welcome young people with all levels of ability. Founded in 2004, we have now built a reputation for delivering high quality workshops and performances. We became a registered charity in 2014.
The rock school has three studios each equipped with guitars, bass, keyboards, drums, amplifiers, microphones and a PA system. Coordinated by a professional music leader, local musicians volunteer their services to coach, nurture and support young people to learn to play these instruments, sing and write their own songs. This culminates in two live shows each year.

We are also extending our charged services to support our charitable work.
• We run a wide range of outreach programmes for other organisations and youth projects supporting severely disadvantaged young people explore and create their own music.
• We run music workshops for adults of all ages and abilities
