I set up Whitegates Private Clients after years of frustration working for larger insurance brokers. It always seemed that I had to spend more time dealing with internal office politics and treading the corporate tightrope - rather than looking after my clients. Eventually I managed to muster enough confidence to go it alone and set the company up. Now I am the boss, so I endeavor to make sure that my client always comes first. A bit old fashioned, I know, but I think that is where the large companies are getting it so massively wrong.
The company specialises in looking after the requirements of wealthy individuals who would typically have more than one property and more than one car. These types of policy can put everything together with one common renewal date. They can also include property abroad, boats, yachts, jewellery, fine art, antiques, travel insurance, valuable collections - pretty much anything a wealthy individual may require. The best thing about them is that the claims service is absolutely amazing, so if a client does ever have to make a claim, they will usually stay with you forever!
I am also able to offer a full range of standard insurance such as household, motor and travel insurance - although I still aim to provide everyone with the same great service. I don't look to sell the cheapest possible insurance, as that generally tends to end up with clients having problems when making a claim.
