Weoley Castle Community Church

Our church has an unconventional name, but we are part of a mainstream denomination: the United Reformed Church (URC)*.

Although we are an accepting congregation when using this page we would ask that you behave with decency, respect and tolerance. The moderators of this page reserve the right to remove comments deemed to be offensive and intolerant and/or to block the person concerned from the page. Furthermore any photos that you send to the page may or may not be published. The moderators reserve the right to decide which photos are/are not appropriate and also reserve the right not to offer an explanation as to why a particular photo may not have been published.

Our members and participants extend across a wide range of Christian beliefs and stances, interests and activities, as well as age-groups and social classes.

On a Sunday morning, the worship and prayers may be led by a variety of ordained ministers and lay people from a various backgrounds as well as our Church Community Worker Mark or a group of our own members, and you can be sure of variety. We enjoy singing, sometimes traditional hymns, sometimes lively modern songs, sometimes singing softly and thoughtfully.

An important part of what we do is the word “Community”: our building, our members and Mark, our Church Community Worker are there to help all people within the community, from toddlers to senior citizens.

We are not a large congregation, but the commitment of our members’ allows us to do a lot. Come and help us to do more – in faith and service!
