We are Lollapalooza

So, why are we called Lollapalooza?

Well, there are various definitions for the word 'Lollapalooza' but they all surround the idea of something being particularly unique, attractive or extraordinary and that's what we aim to provide for you - a service that is unique and tailored to suit your individual needs and a fleet of attractive vintage vehicles which will make your day extraordinary!

All of our vans have their own quirky characteristics that really set them apart from others. Their unique appeal comes from several years of TLC bringing them back to their former glory... with an added Lollapalooza touch, of course! Here's a little bit of our story...

Van No.1
"Truly" derived from our first venture Truly Scrumptious Ices

We brought Truly back in 2009 from a lovely couple in North Yorkshire. The van was in sound condition but we wanted to put our stamp on it, which back in 2009 was 'Truly Scrumptious Ices'. As I was still studying as a full time student, the ice cream van was more of a sideline project that attended the odd local event and birthday party. Eventually, I had the summer free from studies and an opportunity arose to sell ice creams on a seaside pitch in Salcombe, Devon. So off we went; and we've been returning to our spot with Truly the same time every year.

"Rhubarb" named from the delightful colour we decided to paint it!

We stumbled across this van in London, however had no intention to replace Truly! The van was kept in a lock up in Central London and looked a little worse for wear. We could still see past the damaged bodywork, grubby interior and terrible paintwork and decided to add it to the fleet. After trailering it home we carried out work over a two year period, and now we love Rhubarb and his new classy look, which is perfect for weddings and special events.

"Pierre" the french Crêpe van.

Now, Pierre is a charmer - and the newest member to the Lollapalooza fleet. We got this cute little Citroen HY post van from France in September 2012 and brought it over for a much need makeover. When Pierre first arrived he was nothing more than a rusty shell, but luckily his hard exterior meant we were able to give him a new lease of life. Now, painted in biscuit and browns and all kitted out, Pierre the french crêpe van is more than good to go!

Our vans live in the Staffordshire Moorlands area in a little village called Endon, however we are able to transport the vans with a trailer to events across the country dependant on travel costs.

We only deal with the finest local produce, offering a selection of dairy ices and tasty crêpes and fillings to exceed the highest of expectations. Any personal requests are always welcome, from the flavours of ice cream we stock to the colour of bunting we use… as a smaller company, we are able to treat every individual’s needs with our complete attention and devotion, concentrating on the most minute details that guarantee the most impressive results.

Not only do we attend weddings, birthday parties, corporate events and fayres, Truly has even had her shot at the limelight and starred in a Churchill insurance TV ad.
