Our aim at Walton Hall Plant nursery is help students gain hands on experience in horticulture, to teach what lurks in the garden, how to make plants grow and how to use special tools used in an everyday gardening environment.
Who is Shaw Trust?

We deliver services for people at disadvantage so they can gain life and employment skills in order to live more independently, secure sustainable employment and actively contribute to family and community life.
We educate and influence society to remove barriers and create opportunities for those at disadvantage; to build supportive communities and ultimately, a more inclusive society.
Volunteers; we need you!
• Pass on your horticultural skills or mentor students from the on-site special needs academy.
• Assist with the running of the social horticulture enterprise involving marketing and sales.
• Make a difference to people’s futures.
• Gain experience in social enterprise, horticulture and mentoring.
