Welcome to UrbanRebel Design!
We are a dynamic new Design Studio based in Glasgow. We specialise in using responsibly and where possible, locally sourced materials to create unique Lampshades, Textile work and Original Art.

Our inspiration comes from the wealth of natural beauty, resources, wildlife and our world beating landscape that surrounds us here in Bonnie Scotland!

Here at UrbanRebel Design we make all our products carefully by hand in our home studio. Our "Happy Harry" Harris Tweed lampshades and textile works are custom made and come in a variety of eye popping colours and sizes using Iconic "Clo' Mor' or "Big Cloth", Harris Tweed fabric.

We only ever buy our fabric from a registered supplier on Harris and all products carry the Orb label of authenticity.

The journey and process involved from taking the Virgin Wool of the black faced sheep, hand dyed, spun and woven by the islanders in their homes on The Hebrides to creating your finished product is Literally jaw dropping!

We will soon feature some details of the story of our "Clo' Mor" supplier on Harris.

We have a range of modified reclaimed and up-cycled pieces which will provide a talking point in any setting and look forward to sharing them with you soon.

We regularly feature and showcase The work of up and coming Artists, Designers and Sculptors from Glasgow School of Art.

We are inspired by a love of textiles, design and Art and love to create beautifully finished original pieces.

Our ethos is providing our customers with unique, stunning hand crafted items from our studio while supporting both Heritage industries in Scotland and new emerging talent.
