Uppermill Civic Hall

Situated in Uppermill in the heart of the Saddleworth countryside, the Civic Hall is an ideal setting for your wedding and/or reception. Built in 1859 in the Baronial style by the world famous local architect George Shaw, the Civic Hall provides a classical venue to make your day a day to remember.



All rooms in the hall are licensed for wedding ceremonies, from the intimacy of the wedding room for smaller weddings, to the grandeur of the ballroom for larger weddings.



The impressive Baronial style ballroom has hosted a large variety of wedding receptions in the past; we have hosted both small and large weddings. Feel free to contact us with a specific number you have in mind and we can draw up some table plans for you. The adjoining bar is a place to enjoy either a quiet drink, or indulge in the party atmosphere. We are licensed for the retail sale of alcohol and details of local public houses who have operated the bar many times before are available on request.



The Civic Hall also boasts a fully operational catering kitchen with ample preparation space. Additional rooms are available on the ground floor which can be used for canapés, champagne receptions, or even an evening buffet if required. We have a free car park, and also a lift for any disabled guests.



The bride & groom are free to choose their caterer, bar staff, and decorate the room however they wish. Our friendly and experienced staff are on hand to assist you on the day and available to help with any prior preparation.
