Underground Solu’shn is the sole surviving Independent Dance, Electronic & Specialist Record Shop in Edinburgh, selling quality music and audio equipment in Scotland’s capital since 1995.

Starting in a dingy Old Town basement on Cockburn Street before relocating to over ground premises further down the same street, we began as an ‘Underground’ Record Shop selling House, Techno, Disco, Hip Hop, Funk, Soul, Jazz and Drum & Bass on the preferred medium which was, and to us still is, good old fashioned Vinyl LPs & Singles. To this very day we still support the format which kicked it all off stocking hundreds of new releases every week, though we also embrace any new Technology which makes the enjoyment of Music possible. So, you’ll find our shelves groaning with the latest DJ and Music Production Equipment including Turntables, Mixers, CD Decks, Midi Controllers, Computer DJ Systems, Software, Speakers and Headphones from all the top brands such as Pioneer, Allen & Heath, Rane, Technics, Native Instruments, Korg, Akai, Sennheiser, Stanton, Numark, M-Audio, Ortofon, Pro-ject, Pacemaker and Steinberg. We’ve also expanded the range of music we do to incorporate Classic Rock, Pop and current Indie releases.

There are stacks of wax to wade into, and countless CDs to get your ears around. As if that wasn’t enough, we have a wide range of accessories including Cartridges & Stylus, Vinyl and Equipment Cases & Bags, Molotow Belton Paint & Art Supplies and T-Shirts, not to mention numerous Books and Magazines to feed your brain. Think of it as a one stop shop for total musical nourishment!
