Torphins Playgroup

Torphins Playgroup works in partnership with Aberdeenshire Council offering government funded early years education. We follow the Curriculum for Excellence and are registered with the Care Inspectorate enabling us to provide places for children from the age of 2 to school age.

At playgroup we plan a wide range of activities, in a unique home from home setting, which provide opportunities for the children to learn and develop. A typical day at playgroup can include cooking, nature walks, singing, music and movement, story time, book corner, art and crafts and water fun. We also make the most of our excellent garden complete with woodland area, mud kitchen, vegetable patch, digging area and troll bridge.

Managed by a parent committee, the playgroup offers an exceptional opportunity to establish lifelong friendships for children and parents/carers alike. Everyday is an "open day " at playgroup so please feel free to pop in and see what we do. we look forward to meeting you !
