The meaning of TIW and what our academy represents: Tiw is an ancient Anglo Saxon God of War that the early tribes of England would pray to before going into battle. The symbol of Tiw represents courage, strength, bravery, and respect. This is the fundamental basis for any warrior to succeed and win for which serious combat skills are a must. All of these skills are preached and practiced at Tiw Combat Academy. By joining the academy you become part of a modern day tribe where you will train, spar, and compete as well as receiving support from the Tiw family.

My name is Bobby Harris and I’m the proud owner of Tiw Combat Academy, after finding this symbol and adopting it into my life I can honestly say my life has changed for the better and through MMA I have achieved my dream of opening my own MMA academy and I hope to share my dream with you.

As part of the Tiw family you will have access to the newest MMA facilities in Essex and on top of that trainers and coaches always there and willing to educate and teach.

Tiw Combat Academy is a MMA training facility that believes if you’re at the academy then you should be training, sparing, fighting and I will personally be making sure that this happens through out the day, every day. The day Tuesday derives from the God of War ‘Tiw’ – therefore on Tiwsdays at the academy we pay our respects and homage by dedicating this day to pure combat only.

At the academy we also have a professional photo studio at our disposal at any time which allows us to give our fighters professional photos for promotions and flyers.

As you can imagine, a god of war would have some sexy young lady’s in his life, so true to form we have a selection of jaw dropping ring girls available for any MMA/Boxing event. Check out the Tiw Babes page for a list of the girls we have available.

We also have our very own Body Composition specialist who gives individual dietary needs to who ever requests it.
