More about Tinsmiths House

Originally a Tinsmith’s workshop dating from the eighteenth century, located in the centre of Aylsham. The building has been extensively re-fashioned, following the original floor-plan. The house has retained the original workshop feel, but the stone floors, underfloor heating, modern insulation and open-plan living have coalesced to make this essentially a uniquely designed contemporary home.

Located just two minutes stroll from Aylsham Market Place, Tinsmith’s House is accessed via a large double gate into an inner courtyard. The ground floor is arranged around a single multi-purpose room encompassing living-room and kitchen, with a separate dining room that opens onto a charming garden. Both bedrooms are on the first floor.

WHY STAY AT TINSMITH'S HOUSE?

COMFORT & TRANQUILITY: Well-appointed bedrooms, decorated in natural colours, in a period setting within a conservation area.

STYLISH ROOMS: Both rooms are furnished with an eclectic mixture of contemporary, antique and re-purposed furniture. The smaller bedroom has its own en-suite shower room, whilst the larger bedroom has exclusive access to its own luxurious bathroom. There is free WiFi, bottled mineral water, as well as tea and coffee making facilities. Freshly laundered towels and bed linen are provided.

GOURMET BREAKFAST: We serve the best organic and free-range ingredients from our local butcher, baker and fruit and vegetable store. We provide full English or vegetarian breakfast, fresh tea and coffee, served along with your morning newspaper, as well as home-made jams and conserves. All inclusive.

We charge a room rate, prices listed here are indicative of the price you will be charged for your stay. We can offer reduced prices on rooms if you book for more than 2 nights. Please call us to discuss.

Our ridiculously friendly Labradoodle dog is very welcoming to visitors (apart from other dogs), so I am afraid we can’t accommodate pets along with our guests. She is a big part of our lives and has run of the house, so if you have any doubts about being in the same house as Dusty, you may want to stay elsewhere. She is not allowed in any of the guest bedrooms and sleeps downstairs, though this doesn’t stop her plotting to gain access.
