Welcome to The Slate Workshop. My name is Ben Thomas and I handcraft bespoke slate products from the beautiful rural village of Five Roads, set in the heart of the Welsh countryside of Carmarthenshire. Items are primarily WELSH Slate, that include house name plaques and numbers, business/commemorative plaques, memorials, slate clocks, barometers, lampbases, cheese boards and tableware, bookends, benches, celtic plaques and personalised wedding gifts.
The Slate Workshop is all about "bespoke". I enjoy nothing more than making a truly unique, one off item; something that is personalised and exclusive to you and no-one else.

Your choices are endless and are only limited by your imagination! Should you wish to have a piece commissioned then I would be happy to hear from you, I am a fluent Welsh speaker therefore happy to communicate in either Welsh or English.
