The Sheelin Kitchen

The Sheelin Kitchen in Bellanaleck is set to reopen its culinary doors on the 2nd May, under the new management of proprietor Sharon Finlay.

Sharon's passion lies in using simple flavours to create tasty home cooked food, using traditional skills which have been learned from family cook books as well as in the classroom.

The menu at The Sheelin Kitchen will deliver a variety of tempting treats, ranging from exciting soups of the day to traditional Caesar salads, to something more filling in the form of a variety of hot sandwiches - Italian classics to your more traditional 'Sunday Roast' in a sandwich.

Sharon wants to introduce an American twist to her menu to reflect the two years she spent in the USA, with the 'Evansville burger' and buffalo wings with blue cheese dressing just a few of the highlights from across the pond. You can also expect a variety of daily specials, reflecting Sharon's talents for creating exceptional home cooked dishes using locally sourced food.

With treats like 'Nuts about caramel' and 'Berry shortcake sundae' on the dessert menu, there is certainly something to suit the sweeter tooth.

Sharon will also have homemade jams, chutneys, wheatens and other produce made at The Sheelin Kitchen for sale to take home. Occasion cakes are available to pre-order, and desserts to take out can also be ordered to purchase for your special dinner party - flexibility is key and all enquiries are welcome and requests catered for.

The Sheelin Kitchen will be open daily (except Mondays - excl Bank Holidays) from 10am - 6pm, and from June - August Fridays and Saturdays 9am - 8pm. Keep an eye out for themed evenings, summer BBQs.

Available for private hire in the evenings, The Sheelin Kitchen is the perfect place for birthdays, anniversaries, work functions - whatever the occasion.
