The Sensory Fairy

Hello my name is Sarah, and I am The Sensory Fairy. My business is centred around the sensory elements of many childhood medical conditions, for example Autism, ADHD, ADD, Aspergers, Disability and many others too.

One aspect a lot of these conditions have in common is a Sensory overload which can lead to a Sensory meltdown. This can be distressing for parents as well as the children.

As a parent myself I have experienced this with my own children. My children's complex conditions range from ADHD, Autoimmune disease, Uveitis and Choroiditis, possibly muscle tone condition and the premature birth of my Twins. And then the terrible loss of a child too. I'm very passionate about the sensory side of these conditions, and over the years gained experience in difficult situations that arise from them, and so now I want to be able to help other parents through their journey too.

The products I offer will include sensory quiet spaces, as from experience having a quiet space for a child during a sensory overload can help them so much and often prevent a complete meltdown. It took a while for me learn how to risk assess a situation that my son might be in, and once you have that figured out, the way you handle it becomes a lot easier.
