The Sanctuary

The Sanctuary is a mental health crisis service provided by Self Help.

Operating outside of usual office hours (8pm – 6am), The Sanctuary provides a safe place where people can go when they are experiencing suicidal thoughts, panic attacks, depression or low mood.

The overnight service is supported by a 24-hour crisis line.

The Sanctuary provides an important alternative to people who in the past have gone to A&E when in crisis.

It provides a non-accommodation based emergency support at the point of need.
