The source of this small river is somewhere close to Kirkby in Ashfield and it passes through our nearby Mill Lakes and Moor Bridge Nature Reserve, then meanders past Morrisons supermarket and through Bulwell Town Centre and the Cinderhill area on its way to the River Trent.
Perhaps the most attractive, and certainly the most popular, spot is the area known (most inappropriately) as Bulwell Bogs, in the heart of Bulwell - close by the bus, train and tram stations.
This section has riverside seating, a grand childrens playground and paddling pool / water park and a public house serving food.
