More about The Plough

David Hughes has run The Plough Inn for over 15 years and has been involved in the hospitality industry since birth. David's family have been involved with Inns and ale houses for 5 generations since the 1850's when George Bell took charge of the Warren de Tabley Arms in Peover (now better known as the Bells of Peover). David also runs The Badger at Church Minshull.

The beer garden at The Plough Inn has been designed using unusual bedding plants from the dragon wing begonias, cana's and chordelines to David’s new favourites - trailing winter pansies. These favourites are supplemented with highly coloured seasonal flowers in the traditional window boxes and hanging baskets. The Plough is also decorated inside with beautiful and unusual plants such as orchids and lilies. Fresh flowers always adorn the bars

History - The Plough Inn is a Frederic Robinsons Brewery pub and is located in an area of Cheshire that was central to the early history of the county. The Plough Inn was first mentioned as an inn in 1869 and was a beer house before that.
Children and minors - The Plough Inn caters primarily for adults. We welcome children (over 14) inside the pub, in areas away from the bar, although they are able to use the external areas of the pub at all times as long as they remain under parental supervision. Unfortunately we don't have changing facilities or high chairs.

Dogs - providing they are well behaved and on the leash they are welcome at the tables at the front of the pub, but not inside the pub or in the court yard area. Guide dogs are welcome anywhere.
