The Owl Restaurant and Bakery

Situated on the main street in Holt Norfolk with its characteristic yellow ochre building, The Owl is both a bakery and a restaurant specialising in homemade foods made on the premises. The shop sells a wide selection of foods baked on the same morning which include pies, quiches, organic bread, cakes, flapjacks, scones, jams and chutneys. At the back of the shop the restaurant specialises in cooked lunches with a distinctive mediterranean influence. On the menu there is always a Moroccan tagine along with other specials which may include risottos, Spanish omelette and casseroles inspired by English country game cooking or Eastern European dishes. There is a daily choice of two soups which can range from butternut and toasted cumin seeds, Moroccan spicy bean to a parsnip, apple and sage soup, all served with our homemade organic rolls. Through the restaurant there is a delightful walled sunny garden with tables and umbrellas serving the same menu.
