Old Coastguard Cottages are located near to the lifeboat slip & angling club on the eastern tip of Swanage Bay known as Peveril Point. Although the town is only a short stroll away, Peveril Point provides a haven of peace and tranquillity throughout the year. The cottage is full of charm and character and has 3 bedrooms (two with direct sea views) that can accommodate 6 adults comfortably. Downstairs there is a decent sized kitchen and a cosy lounge with direct sea views through bi-fold doors. Central heating. WiFi. Parking permit for the rear of the cottage. The cottage is non-smoking and we are unable to accept pets I am afraid.

Bedroom 3 - Adult Bunk Beds

Ensuite to Master attic room.
Family bathroom on first floor.

Kitchen:
Range style cooker with two ovens, fridge with ice box, washing machine, dishwasher, microwave, toaster, kettle, radio etc.

Living Rooms:
Cosy lounge with front facing sea view through bi-fold doors to front garden. Exposed fireplace with wood burner. One three seater sofa & one two seater, plus antique chairs. Table, flat screen TV/Radio, BluRay player, Internet/WiFi, family board games.

Cleaning/Towels/Linen/Maid service:
All bed linen, tea towels, dish cloths, hand & bath towels will be provided (excluding beach towels), for a mandatory additional £20 per week per bedroom occupied. The cottage is cleaned / bedding changed on changeover day & mid way on two week stays.

Accessibility
Not suitable for wheelchairs, but is suitable for elderly. Please note that uneven paving in places could prove difficult for those with mobility issues.

Outside:
The front garden faces directly onto the sea with a magnificent view across the bay and seating for 8. There is a free standing barbecue, buckets, spades, crab lines, fishing nets etc. There is direct access to the sea to launch kayaks etc.

Coast/Beach
Directly in front of the cottage is a stony foreshore with a small jetty, ideal for crabbing / fishing / swimming. The adjacent sailing club has a small sandy beach & the main beaches of Swanage are just a short stroll away. The Studland National Trust beach & Poole Harbour are a 10 minute drive. The coastal path passes the cottage. The Jurassic Coast, Durlston Country Park/Lighthouse & Visitor Centre only just over a mile away & can be reached by foot or car. Watch lifeboat launch from cottage!

Golf:
The Isle of Purbeck Golf Club founded in 1892 with its spectacular 18 hole links course and 9 hole 'Dene' course is only 3 miles from the cottage. The clubhouse has a restaurant with scenic views across course, heathland and Poole Harbour.
Wareham, Dorset Golf & Country Club, Broadstone, Parkstone, Ferndown and Dudsbury amongst others, are all within driving distance, if you will pardon the pun! The owner is a keen member of the Isle of Purbeck & can help arrange bookings if required.

The cottage perfectly located for all local beaches and for accessing all the many local coastal and country walks. A walker & cyclist's paradise!
