The oil and wax company

After 20 years of working in nursing I decided a change was in order. I left nursing and embarked on a summer of gardening, one of the key things I discovered was that it was hard on the hands!!!!!!
My wife bought me numerous hand balms to assist in keeping my hands supple but to be honest i didn't like any of them, they were by and large far too greasy. i would use them and a thick layer of oil covered my hands for a long time afterwards. i thought there must be a better way to care for hands than this so i rented a workshop and made my own. My workshop was built out of reclaimed wood and occupied a space in a large industrial unit used by some bikers for building their crazy choppers. I soon found out I wasnt the only one to suffer with tired hands, spannering and being up to their elbows in oil and grease was having a pretty negative affect on their hands too.
I soon discovered that i had created a rather good hand balm which worked exceptionally well and was a real tonic for hard working hands.
Currently The Oil and Wax Company has three distinct blends. the base ingredients are all the same. Beeswax and sweet almond oil, shea butter and organic refined coconut are gently heated to melting point. they are then taken off the heat and Aloe Vera Gel and essential Oils are blended in. this leaves micro bubbles of Aloe Vera Gel in a blend which goes on non greasy and is swiftly absorbed by the skin.

Engineers Grade 3 is a combination of Sweet orange, Petit Grain, Frankincense and Geranium which is perfect for Men (or women). its orangey scent is pleasant but unobtrusive. All of the essential oils used are re-known to have a very positive affect on skin.

Our Happy hippy hand balm is made in exactly the same way but instead of sweet orange Patchouli oil is used. not only does this smell great but it has a host of beneficial affects.

Our trio of blends is finished up by The Reverends Medicated Winter Warmer. A blend of Peppermint, Eucalyptus, Tea Tree, Lavender and Rosemary essential oils create a blend which is guaranteed to cheer up tired hands on a cold winters day.

Because they are blended with Beeswax they will keep for a significant period of time, the beeswax will also coat the skin with a micro fine layer to create a barrier to dirt and damage.

So the easy part has been done! The Oil and Wax Company has created some amazing hand therapy. Now comes the hard part of spreading the word and getting everyone else to realise quite how good they really are.
