More about The North East Dog Festival

Exciting News… The North East Dog Festival is back and its bigger and better than ever! Saturday 9th September 2017

On Saturday 9th September The North East Dog Festival will return at a new rural venue. Kirkley Hall Campus in Ponteland will play host to a wooftastic family day out complete with dogs shows, have-a-go activities, funfair, education marquee, main ring displays and over 150 trade stands.

One of the main attractions for this year is The Kipperridge Gundog Display Team who are performing in the North East for the very first time. The multi-award winning gundog trainers who are Crufts main ring regulars will showcase a range of exciting skills and games in this year’s VetUK main ring.

Charities will take centre stage in the two dog shows raising money for their respective causes with a range of fun classes and local training clubs will be on hand to offer various have-a-go activities such as temptation alley, fastest recall, agility, scentwork, flyball and more.

“As a team we are really excited to have found this fantastic new venue; it not only allows more space logistically but it means we can take the festival to a new level. There is something to suit all the family and the large funfair and zoo is the perfect all-weather day out. We are especially excited to see the packed main ring and education marquee but hopefully we still get time to have a wander around over 150 trade stands – as the shopping and food looks amazing!”.

Tickets are £5 per person with under 16’s free. This also includes entry into the onsite Kirkley Hall Zoological Gardens* Parking is free and opens at 9am; show gates open at 10am.

Visit the website for more information and to get your tickets online www.northeastdogfestival.com.

Get your tickets before the 31st August and you could win a custom made sculpture of your dog worth £450 thanks to The Biscuit Factory. *dogs are not permitted within the zoo – but there is plenty to keep their tails wagging!
