More about The Mill at Glynhir

The Mill at Glynhir is situated in three acres at the foot of The Black Mountains bordering The Brecon Beacons National Park. It was originally a 17th Century Water Driven Corn Mill. Ruins which form part of a foundry that supposedly made swords for the French revolution can be found in the grounds. The Mill and the foundry were once part of the Glynhir Estate which was owned by the

Du Buissons who originated from France.

The short approach to The Mill is called bankyfelin (banc-y-felin) which translates to The Mill on the Hill and the word Glynhir (Glyn-Hir) translates to long valley.

The Mill is a family run bed and breakfast set in its own secluded landscape, offering peace and tranquillity away from any main roads. It makes for an ideal base for sightseeing or activity holidays or just for a quiet break.
