The Leeds Upright MRI Centre

The upright MRI scanner at our centre is able to image patients lying, sitting or standing, and for the first time, true weight bearing views can be obtained.

The upright MRI scanner is excellent for patients who have problems with conventional MRI scans:

- Claustrophobia and anxiety
- Larger patients
- Those with vertigo or respiratory and cardiac problems who are unable to lie flat
