Interior design is not about spending a fortune on paints and fabrics and furniture which can result in a beautiful house you are afraid to sit down in. It is about making the most of what you have and pulling the look together so that it represents you and suits your lifestyle. I have renovated and decorated many homes and the best ones are often the cheapest to create. I prefer to buy second hand, on line and at auctions and many of my best finds have come from car boot sales and even the Refuse Tip! Charity shops are another great source, especially for soft furnishings, kitchenalia and picture frames. I help people look at what they have, help them decide what they like then help them create a truly unique home.
I specialise in helping people get their homes ready for sale, reducing the clutter, making it clear what each room is for, cleaning and decorating where necessary and then dressing the property for success.
I am happy to help in many ways. I charge £25 for an initial consultation where we discover what you have, what you like and what look you want to go for. Then I can be as involved as you want. I can work with you to clear clutter, move furniture around, and dress rooms. I can introduce you to builders, decorators, upholsterers etc. I can shop for you or with you. For any of these things I charge £10 per hour plus costs.
As well as homes I have also designed and dressed holiday cottages, log cabins and gypsy caravans.
I believe that out door space is also part of the home and deserves care and thought to make it useful and beautiful.
