The Hop Beer Shop

The Hop Beer Shop has just been awarded by Chelmsford & Mid Essex CAMRA the Chelmsford Pub of the Year 2016 award and it was the vision of John Prior who visited others in Kent and saw a gap in Essex for a micro pub. John has run pubs in the past and has a passion for great beer from the uk and from across the world. With this in mind The Hop Beer Shop was born in November 2014 and has become a first while not only serving great cask ales we also have around two hundred bottled and canned beers from across the world. You can always drink the beer in The Hop Beer shop or take it out the choice is yours. Why not try with your friends a new beer just buy one and share it between you it is fun.
We do not serve food or have live music and we are open from noon to 9pm Tues to Sat and. So if you are in Chelmsford why not pop in and join us for a beer in Moulsham street and try one of our many great beers.
