The Golden Star

At the Golden Star we like to think we cater for everyone. With early starts boasting a full breakfast menu using locally sourced and organic meat and free range eggs, Rainforest Alliance Certified coffee, freshly blended fruit smoothies we kick off your day. Our lunch menu served Monday to Saturday offers great value and quality for a relaxed lunch with friends or a quick bite in your break from work or college. Liz Polis our fantastic evening chef cooks up a storm of ever changing new menu ideas from Tuesday - Saturday with locally sourced vegetables, game and meat. Great vegetarian meals are always a feature of her menu.
In addition to all this great grub we are at heart a locals pub serving a great selection of well kept ales, wines and spirits. We love to welcome you in our comfortable bar for a pint and a chat while watching the world go by!
At weekends we host regular live music on Saturday nights with local bands playing a mixture of blues, folk, bluegrass and rock. Check out our website www.goldenstarnorwich for who's coming up. Our weekly Sunday night quiz is hosted by different volunteers each week which guarantees questions to suit a wide group of folk. It's free to enter and is the perfect way to wind down your weekend.
And if that wasn't enough for you the Golden star is also home to one of Norwich's few bar billiards tables which is available to play all day. Easy to learn and suitably compelling to keep you entertained for an afternoon or evening!
