The Golden Lion

The Golden Lion is a renowned Bristol Music venue offering live music on Thursdays, Fridays, Saturdays and Sunday Afternoon.

"Big Fat Music Quiz" happens every Monday at 8.30pm and the super popular "Rock n Roll Bingo" is at the same time every Wednesday night.

Our stage welcomes acts both large and small from across the UK.
Thursday nights offer something different every week:
1st Thursday = Jazz Night
2nd Thursday = Enter the Lion Songwriters Showcase
3rd Thursday = Blues Night
4th Thursday = Reggae Jam
On Fridays we play host to the bigger acts. These events are ticketed or charged on the door and are high energy!
Saturdays are also upbeat and often play host to the more local acts.
The "Golden Ol' Sunday" sessions (4pm) focus mainly on the folksy, bluesy, funky, country & Americana stuff.

Our live music is mostly free entry, but please donate generously to the "Hat" so our wonderful musicians can afford to feed themselves!

Burger Theory, "The Creative Burger People", have a long history with The Golden Lion and this autumn they returned to serve up their creative recipes, seven days a week!
Monday – Friday: 5pm till 10pm
Saturday – Sunday: Midday till 10pm
