Since 2003 Carol and Paul have earned an excellent local reputation for good quality food and excellent service. No pool table, loud music or fruit machines, just a warm and friendly atmosphere where customers can sit and have a quiet drink or a home cooked meal in front of the log burner.

The five luxury En-Suite rooms are situated at rear of the pub, from which they can offer a perfect location to escape and explore the West Country.

Enabling you to enjoy a good traditional home cooked meal, a bottle of wine from our specially selected wine list with no concerns as to who is driving as you can either stroll over to your room or down the slope to your pitch on the onsite Campsite.

We are Located near the three counties border, on the road from Cricket St Thomas and on the route to Forde Abbey.

The town of Chard is only 2 miles away. It is claimed to be the birthplace of aviation, as it was here in 1848 that the Victorian aeronautical pioneer John Stringfellow (1799-1883) first demonstrated that engine-powered flight was possible Axminster only 3 miles leaves us in an ideal position to explore.
