In October 2011, the Globe relaunched as part of the John Barras brand, a brand that prides itself on their always being something going on and offering great value to our guests.

We genuinely believe we are the premier location to watch all major televised sporting action in Chelmsford (in fact given we've had people in the past travel 45 minutes by car for our sports coverage I'd say in most of mid Essex) with 5 HD TVs, 1 HD Screen & Projector, 1 3D TV and 3 Sky+ boxes and we have deals tailored to the sports fan whether it be 4 pints of Carlsberg for £8 during the week or £10 at the weekend, cheese burgers for just £2.
