The Funky Junk Workshop

As children we understood the world around us and our feelings through the arts. We sang we danced we drew pictures without care. Making art was a natural coping tool that took us from away from our thoughts and cares. As we grew into adulthood we began to compare our expression to others and some of us may have felt we didn't measure up and this powerful coping mechanism was left behind and forgotten.
Creative expression through the many mediums of art is FUN, helps to release stress and soothe away anxiety. When we let go of all pre-conceived notions of what 'art' is or should look like, when we let go of the idea of an 'end result' something amazing happens. What would happen if you made art just for the pleasure of it? We will use a variety of imaginative and playful techniques to encourage you to place art and creativity in your self care tool box.
