Welcome to The Fitness Practice on facebook – a hub for conversations on Nordic walking in Wiltshire, health and fitness, great nutrition and using corrective exercise for pain-free and powerful movement.

Our story
We’ve been there. Spent too much time in the office, then had flurries of fitness and ended up injured or frustrated. Believe us – we know how it feels.

That’s why we started The Fitness Practice. Today we spend all of our time outdoors supporting others on their fitness journey. Here's some of what we do.

Nordic walking in Wiltshire
Nordic walking is an exercise that you can continue for a lifetime – whatever your starting point. If you want a gentle work-out Nordic walking is light on the hips, knees and ankles. If you want a blast you can join us for a 5km park run, a marathon or a Nordic run on the hills. And there are plenty of options in between, including enchanting walks at nighttime. Nordic walking, with its mix of being outdoors and chatting to some really lovely people, is both energizing and fulfilling and the health benefits go without question.

What people love most is that Nordic walking turns exercise into a pure and simple pleasure in our glorious Wiltshire outdoors.

Designed by a professional ski coach this programme will get you ready for your winter holiday. You’ll get homework too – as we really do want to see results.

Corrective exercise
We are NASM qualified Corrective Exercise Specialists, as well as personal trainers. We are qualified to assess your movement and prescribe programmes to help you move without pain and to prevent injury. Whether your posture needs correcting after sitting too much, your are under rehab from an injury or you are just about to start and exercise programme and want to avoid injury – this one is for you.
