The Essex Dojo

The Essex Dojo in collaboration with Carlson Gracie Essex Chelmsford is part of one of the country’s premier Brazilian Jiu Jitsu (BJJ) teams in the UK.
We are a friendly Brazilian Jiu Jitsu Team based in Chelmsford, headed by Carlson Gracie Black Belt Alain Pozo.

The club has a strong tradition of competition with British, European and multiple regional champions teaching and training at the academy and the club is suitable for all ages and physical fitness levels. Your monthly membership will allow you to train with no signing on fees. We do not tie members into lengthy contracts. Our dojo is located in Chelmsford and we are a friendly and inclusive club that welcomes new members and offers a free trial with no obligation to join.
