Set within the Earl of Plymouth's Oakly Park Estate, the Clive Restaurant Ludlow was originally an 18th Century farmhouse.
In the late 1900s the building was opened as ‘The Clive Arms’ to provide a public house for the many workers of the Estate.
Not until 1997 was it refurbished to a contemporary style while maintaining the original traditional features and named 'The Cookhouse'.
Now a family run business, the establishment has changed its name to The Clive Bar and Restaurant with Rooms to encompass the development of 15 en suite bedrooms in 2004 and a refurbishment in 2007.
