The Bradford Golf Club - 'Hawksworth'

Welcome to The Bradford Golf Club - we extend a warm welcome to all our members and visitors alike. Set in peaceful and tranquil countryside near the hamlet of Hawksworth, we are only 10 miles from Leeds and 8 miles from Bradford.

Our par-71 Championship Course was designed in 1923 by W Herbert Fowler, one of the world's great golf architects who was renowned for his work on many of Britain's finest courses, the most notable being Walton Heath. He also altered or renovated several other famous courses, including Royal Lytham & St Annes and the iconic 18th hole at Pebble Beach.

Fowler created some of the finest examples of heathland golf, which so closely resemble the traditional seaside links courses. While over the years our current course has become more parkland, we have started an 8 year plan, showcasing our Fowler heritage, by removing trees and adding back original bunkers, if you have visited us before - come and see how dramatic the transformation is.

We are more than just a great golf course! Our spacious & extensively refurbished clubhouse provides a venue that is second to none with beautiful picturesque views across Rombalds Moor & the Aire Valley
