The benefits and importance of reading have never been more evident. The Book Activist empowers children and young people to discover the joy of reading. We aim to celebrate stories, reading and creative writing, helping children and their parents find the right book and experience the magic of stories. Through the Bookchat Roadshow we bring together amazing award winning children's authors plus a whole host of experts to give parents loads of ideas to get their children into reading for pleasure and creative writing. Visiting schools across the South East, the event covers everything from how to help your child choose the right book, to story starter ideas to supporting reluctant readers. Whether children have just started to read, or are independent readers or perhaps haven't even started yet, the Bookchat Roadshow has ideas and inspiration for all ages.
