With the arts in general and promoters in particular, struggling under the weight of austerity, it’s good to hear of new venues opening up rather than closing down. So news that TFM Soundworks has been developed in the heart of Middlesbrough is greeted with great enthusiasm.

TFM Soundworks will be involved in promoting music and the arts within schools including hosting music workshops. TFM Soundworks will be involved with music education and help children to express themselves through music.

The work on Middlesbrough’s supreme 3000-capacity venue, which will bring in the best of live music events and comedy as well as other performances, is situated in the former Riley’s snooker & pool club site. The building has undergone a complete structural and cosmetic refurbishment. As well as a brand new façade, the re-fit will see a full stage installed in its main room and will boast the biggest and best technical sound systems currently available.

The venue has three bars with the main bar having over 30 top-of-the-range pumps capable of pulling a full pint in a couple of seconds, everybody loves quick service.

The team is currently working behind the scenes to ensure that you can expect performances from a great caliber of stars from all different genres visiting the TFM Soundworks and with a 14+ license for live events the venue is family friendly. We would like the venue to be available for use by a range of ages and activities.

TFM Soundworks is not only the perfect live music venue but the space can also be transformed to play host to a variety of other events and functions. It provides the ideal space for a comedy show, dinner, dance show and Sporting Events, or alternatively, this space would be a stylish and unique venue for a conference or Wedding.
