My name is Emma and as well as running the Talktastique language classes at nurseries, I will soon be offering an Ofsted registered childcare service from my lovely home in Colwich, close to Cannock Chase.

I offer a safe, homely and fun environment at my house. I promote a healthy lifestyle by providing fresh food and lots of opportunities to be outside in nature. Our daily routines and activities are inspired by Reggio Emilia and we follow a gentle daily rhythm to promote optimum child development, confidence and independence.

I have a keen interest in nature led activities, exploring and learning from the outdoors. I will be emailing a log to show what the children have been doing. I am planning lots of messy play and will have daily story times, sing songs and there will be trips to the park, National Trust centres, play groups or the library. We have a selection of musical instruments including a keyboard and guitars enabling children to experience different sounds and music from an early age. I have a keen interest in art and children will also have the opportunity to use a variety of art mediums including watercolour paint, clay, wire and 3d modelling.

I have a recent First Aid and Child Protection training. I have been working in a local nursery for two years Teaching French through games, songs, creative play and drama and I run a weekly fun Italian class for toddlers and preschoolers at Great Haywood Hall. I also speak Italian and German and have a B.A hons in German and Italian. It has been proven that listening to different languages from an early age is important for cognitive development. Therefore, fun French daily language learning classes are also included (at an additional fee). The children learn naturally through, songs, games, drama and art.

I absolutely love working with children of all ages and believe we offer an environment that reflects this, full of fun, active and educational activities.

My cosy home is adapted to contain a learning nursery room, lounge area and a safe back garden. We have lots of resources for all age groups.

I have two lovely, sons aged 3 and 9 years old. Luca is a well mannered boy, he plays the guitar and loves football and drama. Alex, my youngest is an active and inquisitive little boy who also loves music especially the guitar. I also live with my partner who is a secondary languages teacher at a grammar school, although he isn't home when children are here, he is DBS checked.

Open weekdays 7.30am - 6.15pm for children aged 3 months to 10 years.
