System Sound

System Sound was founded by Peter Cockett in 1976. It was originally located in a small high street shop, specialising in the sales, installation and repair of hi-fi and sound equipment.


Since the Queens Silver Jubilee on 1976, sound reinforcement has played an important part in the business. Starting with the hire of equipment for outside events, the supply, installation and repair of permanently installed sound systems has developed, with installations completed throughout the east of England.

Today System Sound supplies and installs speech reinforcement and music sound systems in many locations including sports centres, fitness studios, factories, shops, offices, swimming pools, meeting halls and churches. Induction loop sound reinforcement has become an important part of many systems. This enables hearing impaired users to enjoy undistorted sound under their control with most hearing aids or dedicated headsets.
