Sutton Owlfield

For one summer only, Sutton Coldfield is set to become Sutton Owlfield!

From 20th July, the Royal town will home seven beautifully designed giant owls and fourteen owlets as part of The Big Hoot.

Presented by public art specialists, Wild In Art, in partnership with Birmingham Children’s Hospital, The Big Hoot will see 90 giant owl statues land in locations across the city, including right here in Royal Sutton Coldfield.

This is the biggest, brightest and most ambitious public art event Birmingham has ever seen and it’s all set to be a spectacle to remember!

Each owl has been designed and created by a host of local artists, and thanks to the generosity of sponsors, including Sutton Coldfield Town Centre BID and The Gracechurch Centre, the event is free for all to enjoy. What’s more at the end of the 10 week trail, the owls will be auctioned off to raise vital funds for Birmingham Children’s Hospital.
