Sunshine Community Playgroup and Pre-School

Playgroup Leader, Deputy and 3 Assistants with over 125 years of child care experience between them.
All staff: are qualified to N.V.Q. Level III in Child Care & Education, are vetted by Social Services and are police checked (prior to commencement of employment, as are all students and voluntary workers), plus hold numerous certificates and or have received training in First Aid / Fire Safety Training,
Autism Awareness Training, Special Needs, Respecting Difference Training, Speech and Language Training, E.C.D.L.
Leader & Deputy are designated child protection officers.
Note: All Staff profiles (which contain all certificates etc.) are displayed on notice-board.

Staff to Children Ratio
Our staff to children ratio of 1:6 means that each adult has a maximum of 6 children in their care, ensuring that your child gets the individual care and attention they need to make this a happy and lasting first experience.

Training
Sunshine staff are fully trained to N.V.Q. Level III in Child Care and attend regular training coursers and seminars throughout the academic year.

Organisational Structure
Management Committee – consists of:
3 office bearers – Chairperson, Treasurer and Secretary,
7 sub-committee members (which includes 3 fundraising members)

Staffing:-
Playgroup Leader, Deputy Leader, 3 Playgroup Assistants and periodically volunteers and students on placement.
